Hostile Faction USA makes it to upper bracket finals and gets a 3rd place finish at NERV3
Hostile Faction entered the NERV LAN with an opening loss to RADIUM. They got their composure back and won out in their group stage with wins over Dynamic, Untitled Pug, and 1HP.

Double Elimination Stage :

Round 1 vs Radium:
Opening up against the team that beat them earlier in the LAN event, Hostile Faction's squad lead by ChimPae, wanted to show everybody that losing to Radium the first time was due to luck and not being prepared for that style of gameplay. They went into the match with a grudge and showed an impressive 13-3 win on mp_citystreets.

Round 2 vs vVv:
vVv was and still is an obvious favorate to place in this LAN event. This match was on mp_crash and going into the match, the team had great confidence in their strats. HF.usa pulled out an amazing 13-7 victory. I also believe ChimPae had something else fueling his performance in this one, and that is his revenge on vVv cubEd. cubEd having made fun of him quite a bit as of recently and making a controversial movie was something that he didn't appreciate.

Round 3(Upper Bracket Finals) vs Loaded:
Loaded is a team that is preparing to go over to Europe and compete against 47 other teams. Having just come off a win in the NZXT tournament, they were the obvious favorite for 1st place. In this match Hostile Faction established the lead, however they lost momentum and Loaded took advantage of that and never let go. HF < Loaded 13-7

Lower Bracket Finals vs Finesse:
Finesse's roster is that of experience, lead by two of the old pandemic players that dominated the cod4 scene worldwide in prank and skinz, they were a team you could never underestimate. HF.usa played a really tough match in this one, but finesse was just too prepared for mp_citystreets. HF.usa < Finesse 13-8

Interview with Blindman-_x from our new 1.6 team!!
Where do you see your team a season or two from now? Any special Goals?

Our main focus right now is to make ESEAmain playoffs. It is a long stretch since the spot we've taken over had a very rough record. Our best bet to earn a spot in playoffs would be to win out our next 4 matches with minimal rounds given. This will give us a chance to compete for an ESEAinvite spot which is the ultimate goal as of now. We hope to see ourselves with a spot in ESEAinvite within the next two seasons as well as succeeding on lan.

What decided you to try pursue the Hostile Faction name?

Hostile Faction is a name that echoes daily throughout the gaming community. We have a great deal of respect for the impact they have made on gaming. With some of the very best staff members and support system, they have opened the doors for many teams and gave countless opportunities. A teammate of mine approached me and said Hostile Faction was looking for a CS 1.6 team but I was very skeptical as to whether an organization such as this would even consider such a new team. Hostile Faction has showed nothing but full respect and professionalism. They respected the individual experience that this lineup had to offer and understood what needed to happen in order for us to be the best team we could be. We appreciate greatly for the hospitality that Hostile Faction has given us and now a permanent home for us to grow and put together these individual experiences.

Do you have any future plans to attend any events?

Yes. 2010 is going to be a very busy year for CS 1.6 with many big LAN events and we plan to attend as many as possible. The lan that is on top of our list would be WCG which we will have to earn a spot in an online qualifier. But we plan to attend a few smaller LANS such as LethalGamers to prepare us. We have also been discussing about a good time and place to boot camp with our new lineup which we hope to do very soon.

How do you feel about your new roster additions?

I feel very grateful to have some the most dedicated and passionate players of North America. As an ingame leader, it is very stressful when you realize not all your players have the same goal and some are less motivated than others. With a great organization such as Hostile Faction backing and supporting such an experienced and active lineup, we expect to make a big splash in the gaming community. We've set our standards very high because we know we are capable of achieving them, and with a lineup that motivates each other every night and a new home that supports us greatly, we feel as if nothing can stop us.

Statement to Fans and Hostile Faction Management

We are a team with players located all over United States. Before we came to be this lineup, each one of us were playing for a local team with the same goal: to grow with our teams and make a big impact on LAN because that is what separates the best from the rest. Although with the success that each of us had with our own teams, throughout time, teammates of ours have lost motivation to practice and be the best we could be, so the progress of our teams were put to a halt. I was able to bring xEEEtrov, one of my very best players from a Chicago LAN team known as paraGon eSports along with me in search of a new lineup. We were able to acquire one of Texas' very best, sinysteR, who was playing with a local team called MugNMouse. Then we came across DuTcH, who was fragging for Florida's top team, MaveN. After a long search for a 5th, we received the news that GameFrog's LAN team has just disbanded, and we immediately asked USA desiweezeh to come play with us. As I've mentioned earlier, these players still have the full potential and passion to keep going and take it to the next level, and I am very fortunate to acquire the players who have made the greatest impacts on their teams.

We would like to thank all of our supporters throughout the years who have followed our cs career and pushed us to be the best we could be. We would like to thank all our past teammates for getting us this far and contributing to the success we shared. And lastly, thank you to all the members of Hostile Faction for such a warm welcome and accepting us to the family. The next few months are going to be very busy for us with ups and downs and we hope you are by our side every step of the way.
